多文化共生フォーラム
The 4th Tachikawa Multicultural Cohabitation Forum
On Nov. 18, 2006, the 4th Tachikawa Multicultural Cohabi- tation Forum, co-organized by Tachikawa City and TMC, was held with the theme of “Town-making though multi- cultural cohabitation: independence and cooperation of foreign residents.” Around 70 people attended, overflowing the capacity of the forum room.
This forum was a discussion between guest speakers Mrs. Kimura of Yokohama Icho elementary school PTA, and Prof. Yamawaki of Meiji University. They talked about how parents of various nationalities and teachers worked together to promote the vitality of her elementary school for the growth of the children.
Also they mentioned how important it was for the government to have a commitment to the local movement by the foreign people. Mayor Aoki of Tachikawa City attentively listened to the talk on the necessary administrative support.
Next, Mr. Ra of TMC explained “TAMACHAN. NET”, a project to publicize local information and consultations of daily life, so that the foreign residents can live even more comfort in the Tama area.
In the second part, Ms. Rong, leader of a circle which taught her native Chinese culture, three guests (Ms. Chiba, TMC language volunteer and Mr. Hosoe, an administrative documentation lawyer and counselor at TMC consultation for foreign resident) talked about their front-line hardships and problems
in promoting activities for supporting the foreign people.
We hope that the citizens can get more interest and understanding in town-making, so that they will become more involved in the decision making process.

第4回立川多文化共生研讨会
2006年11月18日，立川市和TMC共同举办了第4回「立川多文化共生研讨会」。主要讨论了「建立多文化共生的生活环境，宣扬外国籍居民的自立和协调精神」这个课题。当天会议室宾朋满座，70人参加了研讨会。
在这次研讨会上，来宾中的横滨一所小学校的PTA组织的木村女士和明治大学的山脇先生首先进行了对谈，木村女士介绍了该小学校的老师和外国籍家长如何共同教育和培养健康活泼的孩子们的事例。然后讲述了地方政府关心和支持外国人在居住地区开展活动的重要性。出席该会的立川市青木市长热心地倾听了木村女士对地方行政机构提出的建议。
接下来，由TMC会员罗先生介绍了TMC为外国人开设的“TAMACHAN．NET” 网站，为了让外国人在多摩地区生活的更加安心和方便，该网站为外国人提供各方面的生活情报和网上咨询。
在研讨会的第2部分，传授母国文化的中国语教室负责人龙女士，TMC翻译组的义工千葉女士和TMC外国人咨询窗口的担当者行政书士細江先生等3人，各自发表了一些在支援外国人的活动上所遇到的问题和难处。
我们期待更多的市民来关心和理解如何建立好多文化共生的生活环境。

第4回たちかわ多文化共生
フォーラム
2006年11月18日，立川市・TMC共催第4回 『多文化共生フォーラム』を「多文化共生のまちづくり―外国人住民の自立と連携」のテーマで開催しました。当日は，会場に入りきれない70名もの参加がありました。
今回のフォーラムは，ゲストの横浜いちょう小学校PTAの木村さんと明治大学教授の山脇先生との対談で，子供たちを元気に育てるために，多国籍の保護者と先生方が，小学校を盛り上げてきた様子が語られました。
また，外国人が地域活動をする上では行政の関わりの大切さも語られました。青木立川市長は，外国人市民への行政支援の重要性の話に熱心に耳を傾けてくださりました。
次にTMCの羅さんより，外国人が更に安心して多摩地域に住み続けられるよう身近な情報や生活相談をネット上に公開していくﾌﾟﾛｼﾞｪｸﾄ“TAMACHAN.NET”について説明がありました。
第2部では中国の母国文化を教えるサークル代表の龍さん，TMCの語学ボランテイア千葉さん，TMC外国人相談窓口・相談員で行政書士の細江さんの3名の方に，現場で外国人支援の活動を進めている上での苦労や問題点を語っていただきました。まちづくりについて，さらに多くの市民の関心と理解が高まることを期待します。
